How does it work?

 

The lathe slitting process of spinning log rolls of materials on a mandrel and indexing a single blade to precisely cut to your desired width.

State of the art lathe slitters enable operators to program blade direction, blade speed, mandrel speed and blade sharpening cycles. Computer programming ensures that every roll of your product is slit to meet your specifications.

 

By having your parts lathe slit to your specification, rather than settling for standard sizes, material utilization is optimized. With this type of slitting we can slit very narrow rolls (from 2 mm onwards) and slit products to well defined tolerances.
