There is a growing need to join and combine materials where it is not appropriate to use mechanical fixings, such as bolts, rivets, and welding. That’s why the Stokvis Tape Group specialize in offering a wide range of acrylic foam tapes which can be supplied cut to the required width or in the form best suited for the application.
The tapes can be die-cut to shape and are designed for both high loading and the joint expansion. They are unique in that they can be used to join different materials with differing expansion rates and are particularly suitable for metals, glass, plastics and composites where the strength of the taped joint can equal that of bolts, rivets or welds. Acrylic foam tapes are available in clear, white and grey.
Other properties include resistance to high and low temperatures, excellent chemical resistance and a degree of UV light resistance - all properties which make the products ideal for a wide range of applications.
