Stokvis has over 50 years of experience in supplying adhesive solutions to a broad range of markets and specific customer needs. Through the years we have tried, tested and supplied thousands of different adhesive products from hundreds of suppliers. From this knowledge we have developed a standard range of products which we will recommend in the first instance based on a given need.

 

Standard Product Range

Part of our vision is to be “a first choice, independent, international tape specialist…”. In our standard range  therefore you will see that we supply products from a range of suppliers. We believe the benefits of supplying firstly from our standard range are: Constant availability of inventory from all sites and purchasing muscle with our suppliers that enables us to bring costs down. At the same time we maintain the flexibility to offer alternative products and, due to our independence, we can source from any supplier.

 

Additionally whether we are purchasing from a standard or alternative source we have the means internally to communicate our needs effectively and efficiently.

 

One of our internal strengths is the ability to continuously monitor our customers` needs and communicate them to both our internal organization and to our suppliers. On a daily basis we receive forecasts from our customers and on the same basis we are able to translate this information into demand to our production plant, delivery planning and logistical personnel and also make a forcast  to our suppliers. By learning from our experiences we have tailor made our IT systems to suit the Telecom market, thus improving the accuracy and frequency by which we can communicate our supply chain needs globally.

 

Global support

Our customers and suppliers are located around the world and fortunately for our customers – so is Stokvis!!! We currently have inventory and production in various different countries across the globe (Global Presence) and this number is increasing every year. As well as standardizing our products we have standardized our production techniques and technology for serving specific markets. This gives us the ability to produce in the location most convenient to the customer. This is an advantage to many market sectors but in particular in Telecom where we are often supplying and producing one product from several countries.
